FIESTAS RELIGIOSAS Y POPULARES
Las fiestas patronales se celebran el fin de semana siguiente al 29 de junio en honor a San Pedro Apóstol, donde por la noche y tras una misa cantada, se lleva a cabo una procesión que bordea el Barranco de Igueste hasta el conocido Puente de la Cruz, tras lo cual se regresa y se realiza una exhibición pirotécnica. Al día siguiente se realiza otra procesión, esta vez alrededor de la iglesia y acompañada también con la imagen del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús (que es cargada sólo por las mujeres), tras una misa al mediodía. Durante el mismo mes también se realizan diferentes actividades dirigidas a los vecinos y a todas aquellas personas que deseen compartir el festejo con los mismos; verbenas, juegos infantiles, actos solidarios…
El segundo sábado del mes de septiembre, también se celebran fiestas en Igueste de San Andrés, en esta ocasión en honor a la Virgen del Carmen, patrona del mar y de los todos los que trabajan y viven de él. En esta ocasión se acompaña a la imagen en procesión hasta una de las playas del pueblo, Los Barquitos, y se coloca en una embarcación de pesca a la orilla del mar donde frente a ella se lleva a cabo un homenaje a los marineros fallecidos en el mar, se le dedican canciones y poesías a mano de los propios vecinos y se lleva
a cabo una exhibición de fuegos artificiales. Posteriormente, se regresa a la iglesia, no sin antes hacer una última pausa para escuchar y dedicarle el popular Ave María.
Mencionar también que en Igueste de San Andrés, la Navidad se recibe de la mano de Belenes y portales, junto con villancicos que recorren las diferentes calles del pueblo a la mano de su parranda Brisueño y que es recibida por vecinos con comida y bebida a modo de agradecimiento y celebración.
En Nochebuena se lleva a cabo la Misa del Gallo en la cual, además de cantarse villancicos, hace
unos años también se representaban por los niños del pueblo, una obra de teatro sobre el nacimiento de Jesús y poesías navideñas.

Der zweite Samstag im September, sind Feiern auch in San Andres Igueste, diesmal zu Ehren der Virgen del Carmen, der Schutzpatronin des Meeres und alle, die arbeiten und davon leben. Statt Dieses Mal wird das Bild von einer Prozession zu einem der Stadtstrände, Booten begleitet, und in einem Fischerboot zum Meer, wo sie eine Hommage an die Seeleute, die in der starb durchgeführt Meer, zu widmen Lieder und Gedichte Hand der Nachbarn und hält ein Feuerwerk.
